Hello everyone!
I'm very happy to finally present Blade Runner OOAK #3 modeled on both FR2 and FR.  The ensemble consists of 5 pieces: Beige silk cape with cream floral lace lining,  cream silk underbust dress/ high waisted skirt, gold cage peplum belt, ultra suede and gold sequin ribbon belt, and sheer blouse with ultra suede bust panel and cap sleeves.

The pieces are versatile and can work with existing doll clothing for a great mix and match wardrobe.  The dress closes with 3 hook and eye closures.  The cape has arm openings in the front and has one snap closure at the neck.  Gold peplum is also removable with one metal snap in the back and has been completely hand stitched.  The blouse has one hook and eye in the lower back and one clear snap to fit on the slimmer FR2 body. The blouse is very delicate and has also been completely hand stitched.

My inspiration is noted in the sheer panels in the blouse, touch of gold sequins, gold ribbon, and softness of the cream ultra suede.  Neutral and soft, yet very bold...... inspired by the Replicant robots in Blade Runner-- the ultimate synthetic humans.

This outfit is a OOAK MIO Designs creation and is available for $79.00, with $4 Worldwide shipping. Dolls and shoes are not included.   Please email me at if interested and thank you!

UPDATE: SOLD! Thank you very much!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday :)
I have a sneak photo of the outfit coming up modeled on my FR2 doll that resembles Daryl Hannah's character Pris in Blade Runner.  I'm also including pictures of Rachael and Zhora, played by Sean Young and Joanna Cassidy and a couple shots of the first 2 outfits.

You can see Zhora's inspiration with the gold sequins in the first Blade Runner outfit on my Veronique doll with restyled hair to resemble Rachael.

A peek in the sewing room

Hi everyone! I'll be posting sneak peek photos soon and have the first of the last 3 fashions from the Blade Runner collection available for sale.  Meanwhile, check out my newest doll, my first pivotal Barbie sewing up a storm. How did you think I get these done? ;)

Welcome to the MIO Designs Blog!

Hi Everyone!

I finally decided to get on the blogging bandwagon! Seeing as I have a Facebook Fan Page and an Etsy shop (to visit either page, click the buttons on the left)–it makes sense, right?

If you're new to my work (or even new to collecting dolls) I wanted to let you know that I am starting a First to Know mailing list coming directly from my Hotmail email. If you'd like to be added just let me know. Feel free to use the form on the Contact page.

I have some exciting things coming up including the last 3 outfits from my Blade Runner mini collection. Photos of the first 2 dresses that are now sold can be seen here (this link will take you to Facebook).

I hope to have collection Part II coming soon after that.
Thank you for your support!
